Project description: 

70,000 s.f. new construction.  7-story mixed-use building in downtown Asheville.  Named to the list of architecturally successful new buildings in downtown Asheville since 1960, as defined by area architects and preservationists.  The project consists of 41 residential units, one office and one retail space.  Within the building is an enclosed 2-level parking garage with 49 spaces.  The sixth floor features an outdoor terrace along with a sod roof.  Sustainable interior features include pre-finished bamboo flooring, low V.O.C. paints, and an energy efficient elevator.  The steel for the structural frame of the building is from approximately 230 recycled automobiles.
