RENOVATION OF THE

JENKINS BUILDING, 32 BROADWAY AVE.

Historic preservation/ rehabilitation of the existing building to mixed use occupancy.  The Jenkins building was built in downtown Asheville in 1912. At one point the building served as a boarding house, then later became a grocery store, and fell into disrepair by the 1970's.

In 1987 a fire gutted the then-abandoned building.  Camille-Alberice Architects, P.A. bought the burned-out shell in 1995, with intentions to renovate it into mixed-use occupancy.   The ground floor of the renovated building  now houses a graphic design firm along with The Over Easy Cafe.

The second floor includes four custom condominiums and a a hair styling salon.  The third floor consists of three unique condominiums.

The ground floor of the building  housed the offices of Camille-Alberice Architects, P.A. until we moved in August, 2006 to our new location in the 12 South Lexington Ave. building.
